Los días 3 y 4 de octubre la prof. Paula Angeleri participó de las reuniones del ISO/IEC JTC1/SC40 IT service management (SM) and IT governance, organizadas por los grupos de trabajo SM and Education y SM and Environment.  

El Subcomité ISO/IEC JTC1/SC40 IT service management and IT governance se alinea a la preocupación que hay en la International Standardization Organization (ISO) respecto del Medio Ambiente.

Como primer medida la ISO dispone de una familia de normas referidas a los Sistemas de Gestión Ambientales, la familia ISO 14000, compuesta por:

Esta familia de normas cumple un rol muy importante en la sociedad, dados los problemas que hay con el medio ambiente y el efecto climático. Concientizan a la población a partir de su implementación en las organizaciones.

Como una medida para incentivar la implementación de un Sistema de Gestión Ambiental, un grupo de trabajo del JTC1/SC40 está relevando datos en la industria con el fin de estudiar la forma de incluir algunas medidas recomendadas por la familia ISO 14000 en la serie de normas ISO/IEC 20000 Tecnología de la información - Gestión de los Servicios. Por último, la ISO dispone de normas relacionadas, como la gestión de la energía, serie ISO 50000 de Sistemas de Gestión de la Energía:
